Here is a small transcript from the story in the link above (in title) about planes and volcanoes. I find this profoundly cool and would have loved being on this plane:
In June 1982 British Airways Flight 9 flew into a cloud of volcanic ash thrown up by the eruption of Mount Galunggung, in Indonesia, resulting in the failure of all four engines.
The Boeing 747, flying from London, was forced to glide as it fell 23,000 feet without power and some passengers wrote last notes to loved ones believing they would die.
Captain Eric Moody made an announcement to the passengers that has since been described as "a masterpiece of understatement":
He said: "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. We have a small problem.
"All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control. I trust you are not in too much distress."
Incredibly, after 12 minutes with no power the aircraft exited the ash cloud and all engines were restarted, allowing the aircraft to land safely.

Fwd: Aloha, Mr. E
Hi C.
Sorry for the delay in respondning. I am still working on getting better. Guts are still messed up. My new dr seems good though.
See, here's the thing with me; no matter what happens to me physically, no matter what glaring symptons I am showing (not just with my gut but with any part of me) there is never anything wrong with me. I. Am. Not. Of. This. World. I believe that they are going to look inside of me sometime down the road when I am not well and find something that no one on the planet has ever seen or can even understand - like some neon green growth with sparks and rainbows shooting out of it while it plays some preternatural alien music.
Yet the debt and endless medical bills keep piling up. I am so on to this Universe. Great Mystery my ass.
Remember when I started at my zendo a couple years ago and then within 6 months or so the zendo completely closed (after being open for years)? Well, about a month ago I committed to going to the sittings at the current zendo every Monday evening. Just notified yesterday that Monday evenings are closed down now.
Just sayin.
This shit bothers me.
My 3 years off smokes is the 8th. My 1 year wedding anniversary with M is the 6th. (I want to go to a half day buddhist retreat on the 6th....but I reckon I shouldn't. Need to just put it out of my head.)
I am glad you are feeling better about things for the moment. Everything cycles. Miss you and always write.
I am superman.
E
