The thing is so immensely impressive to me. I always read any articles
about it that I come upon. I hang out at their website every now and
then.
And here's the thing; I do not know exactly what these people are
attempting to achieve with this thing. I can find no layman's
explanation for it. And I certainly cannot find anyone to explain it
to me like I am a 2 year old which is exactly what I need. From what I have gleaned they are smashing "particles" together to determine the meaning of life.
Really?
I love this thing. This creation. It is built underground, in a
perfect circle, about 16 miles around. Of course costs billions. It is said to be the most advanced, complex, complicated machine ever built. It's
been reported that the future itself has repeatedly prevented it from
operating. Many technical issues have caused delays. And
apparently some theories claim that this collider could end all of
existence.
How could you NOT love this thing?
I always wondered....if the world were to all the sudden end, do you
think we all would have to like wait in lines due to the excessive
amounts of souls being processed?
I digress.
I do not understand the Large Hadron Collider - but I feel close to
it. To it's purposes. It is not unlike the book The Power of Now. I
owned this book and carried it around with me for 2 or 3 years without
ever reading it. But I knew - knew completely - that this book was me
in every way. It was as if I did not even need to ever read it. (when
I finally did read it.... I was entirely correct). I get this with the
collider.
I think it may be time to learn more about it.
